just heard your story, “The Dodo,” and love it. Is it possible to find it in any magazine or published work? I was hoping to share it with my classes. Thank you.

Hi Ron– Yes, “The Dodo” was published in Issue #4 of the journal The Rattling Wall– you can buy it here if you like: http://www.narrowbooks.com/shop/rattling-wall-issue-4/

When were you first published and how did you do it? (In book form) Does it help to have magazine articles published first?

I published 50-60 stories in various magazines and journals and then eventually found an agent, who sold the collection to Penguin. Yes, having a publication record helps! And the longer and fancier it is, of course, the better.
